Teletubbies HQ

The Teletubbies is easily one of the best brands I’ve ever worked on. When I entered the Tubbyverse, the four titular creatures – Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po – had made their foray into Instagram via @teltubbieshq, with Tubby custard and impish whimsy in tow. The channel struck gold with its audience of ‘90s kids who grew up with the Teletubbies (now disillusioned adults), who got a real kick out of the Tubbie’s cheeky antics. Every piece of content was an absolute joy to create, and given Teletubbyland’s playful and surreal atmosphere I had wide latitude to bring the Tubbies to life in playful ways. At one point, our team turned the ridiculousness up to 11 with the “Teletubbies Tell-All,” a tabloid-inspired exposé on the Teletubbie’s tumultuous breakup. Working with the Teletubbies taught me to never underestimate a brand’s potential, because you have no idea how thoroughly excellent the results may be.
